Embedded Poetry #1

And now for something completely different!  After two months of one continued story, it's time to change it up.  So for something light, here are two related poems.  The inspiration behind them was another sort of challenge I gave myself:  to write a poem in one style about another type of poem, then write about the first style in the second.  So that's what I did!

Haiku-Limerick

This is a limerick ‘bout haiku,

A poem about nature, not news.

They seldom are funny,

Nor earn the big money,

But in Japan, it’s write it or lose.

Limerick-Haiku

a silly poem

hardly worth writing at all

rhyming and meter
